Bio
Lois M. Johnson has been a professor at the University of the Arts since 1967 where she currently serves as Coordinator of Printmaking. She received her MFA in Printmaking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1966. She has had numerous solo exhibitions of her prints throughout the United States and has been the recipient of many awards and grants. Her prints are in the collections of The National Museum of Art in Washington, D.C., The Fogg Museum of Boston, The Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, to name a few. Her work is layered with images collected from her travels and is reminiscent of the work of Robert Rauschenberg with whom she shares an affinity for collage.
