Bio
Marilyn Holsing received a BFA from Ohio State University(1969) and an MA in drawing from the University of New Mexico(1973). She has taught studio art in the BA art program at Tyler School of art since 1973 and is currently a full time professor. Her work has been shown at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Allentown Art Museum, the Drawing Center, the Delaware Museum of Art, the Painting Center, and the Weatherspoon Art Museum, among other venues. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts . She has received two Pennsylvania Council grants, a Leeway WOO grant and a Mid-Atlantic/National Endowment for the Arts grant. Gallery Joe in Philadelphia also represents her work.
