Bio
William Smith paints densely layered landscapes. He earned his BFA from Philadelphia College of Art (The University of the Arts). He has had solo exhibitions at The Delaware Art Museum; LittleJohn Contemporary Gallery, New York; Jan Baum Gallery, Los Angeles; Schmidt /Dean Gallery, Philadelphia; Mulligan Shanoski Gallery, San Francisco; and Sandler-Hudson Gallery, Atlanta. He has been included in group exhibitions at the Noyes Museum, NJ; The Palmer Museum, PA; Freedman Gallery, Albright College, Reading, PA; Abington Arts Center, PA; the Levy Gallery, Moore College of Art & Design, PA; Nexus Foundation for Today's Art, PA; and Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery, The University of the Arts, PA. He has received three fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and a Pew Fellowship award. Among the collections in which he is included are The Delaware Art Museum; Architectural Digest, Los Angeles; Aronson and Partners, Philadelphia; Pan Pacific Yokohama, Japan; and Mastercard.
