Bio
Shelley Thorstensen earned a MFA with honors from Tyler School of Art, Temple University and a BFA cum laude from Syracuse University. Thorstensen has had solo shows at Recolte Gallery in Japan; Women’s Studio Workshop, NY; Moore College of Art and Design and The Free Library of Philadelphia in Philadelphia. She has been also included in group shows at Colorprint USA invitational, TX; Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial, Philadelphia; Washington Print Fair, Washington DC; The Armory, NY; and Society of American Graphic Artists Juried exhibition. She has been awarded Geraldine R. Dodge Fellowship, Digital Printmaking Fellowship from Silicon Gallery, and the F. Lammot Belin Art Scholarship Award. Thorstensen’s work is in the collections of Advent International, Aurora Capitol, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Pennsylvania, Free Library of Philadelphia, Royal Museum of Art in Belgium, Woodmere Art Museum, and many others.
