Bio
Serena Perrone was born in St. Louis, MO and grew up between St. Louis and Sicily. She majored in
Painting, Art History, and French at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. After college, she
interned at Island Press at Washington University, taught at St. Louis Community College, and traveled
to Cortona, Italy where she continued to paint and make etchings. In 2006 She recieved her MFA in
Printmaking from Rhode Island School of Design, concentrating on large-scale woodcuts and silverpoints.
During that time, she also worked at Flatbed Press in Austin, Texas. She is now an artist living in
Philadelphia and exhibiting both internationally and nationally. She recently exhibited work at the
Editions/Artists' book Fair in New York, the International Print Center New York, the Print Center in
Philadelphia, the Maryland Art Place, and the Pitsburgh Center for the Arts, Her work is also in
Permanent collections of the Rhode Island School of Design Museum and the Whitney Museum of American
Art. Her multiples and works on Paper are currently represented by Cade Tompkins Editions
